Operation Burnout

The Trophy Pack for the PS3 edition of Burnout Paradise has been released. Criterion Games has reported that the Trophies will not be retroactive as reported earlier.

Criterion Games had this to say on the subject:

Burnout Paradise saves are locked to your profile. We had hoped to use this to retroactively award trophies, but we discovered during testing that this is not possible. You will therefore require a fresh game-save to receive trophies in Burnout Paradise.

To obtain the Trophy Pack, start Burnout Paradise while connected to the Playstation Network and the update will automatically download.

The downloadable edition of Burnout Paradise that was scheduled for release today on the Playstation Network is also available for purchase.

The word from the Criterion site is to check back around 5pm Eastern. The update is live but may not be available in the US until the US Playstation Network updates.

Is this up in the US also. Heard this morning it was only availabe in Europe.
