The Trophy Pack for the PS3 edition of Burnout Paradise has been released. Criterion Games has reported that the Trophies will not be retroactive as reported earlier.
Criterion Games had this to say on the subject:
Burnout Paradise saves are locked to your profile. We had hoped to use this to retroactively award trophies, but we discovered during testing that this is not possible. You will therefore require a fresh game-save to receive trophies in Burnout Paradise.
To obtain the Trophy Pack, start Burnout Paradise while connected to the Playstation Network and the update will automatically download.
The downloadable edition of Burnout Paradise that was scheduled for release today on the Playstation Network is also available for purchase.

64 Trophies that will be coming soon to Burnout Paradise have been listed at PS3Trophies.org. Criterion Games have stated in the past that the Trophies will be retroactive because of the unique way the gamesave data from Burnout Paradise is linked to the users Playstation Network account.
The 64 Trophies that are slated for release include 47 Bronze, 12 Silver, 4 Gold & 1 Platinum. 7 of these are Bike related Trophies.

Burnout Paradise will available for download exclusively on the Playstation Network this
Thursday, September 25th, 2008. Criterion Games have once again hinted at the upcoming PS3 Trophy support for the game, but have made no promises as to its inclusion in this downloadable edition of the popular game.
Starting the game will then immediately trigger the download of all our updates, including the recent Cagney Pack and Burnout Bikes. A pack delivering PS3 Trophy Support will be released imminently and included for free.
The price for the download was not mentioned, but it is expected to cost the same as the disc-based edition.

Burnout Paradise for the PC was announced a while ago but has taken a backseat to the updates which brings bikes and a new island into the game.
We finally now have some additional news regarding the PC version of Burnout Paradise, including a release date. At GC 2008, EA set up a booth to show off the game. Gamespot had this to say about what they saw.
The PC setup at the EA booth was magnificent, with three monitors being fed simultaneously using a box from manufacturer Matrox. While the images from the side monitors were slightly stretched, the added viewing angle really made it easier to take down enemies. The PC version will also support the same camera functionality as console versions, meaning you'll be able to use any USB webcam to capture images for your licenses and online takedowns. As for other PC features, the development team claims that it might tweak the single-player progression slightly, but it still has to finalise the details.
GameSpot also confirm that Burnout Paradise should be coming to PC in January 2009. System requirements are yet unknown. As soon as we know them we'll post them here at Operation Burnout. In the meantime check out the new screenshots of the PC version above and below.
