Burnout Paradise Frequently Asked Questions
Is there nighttime / weather effects in Paradise? No, only daytime and no weather effects.
Is there police/law enforcement in Paradise?
No, but there are police cars you can drive around in.
How many camera views are there?
Two, the default third person “behind the car” view and bumper view, when in third person view you can move the camera with the right stick.
Why is there no drivers in the cars?
One of the reasons is that since the car crashes are quite realistic, and if you had a driver in a the car that crashed, you would expect the driver to for example be thrown out the windshield realistically and maybe get hit by other cars. It would be too much work to add this to the game and it's not that important considering the game is about crashing cars, not humans.
Is there offline multiplayer splitscreen in the game?

Can you change the control settings?

Is there a replay feature in Paradise that let's you record cool stuff you do in the game?
No, but in Crash FM Podcast #14 Criterion suggest that this might be added later as DLC.
Is there a retry option in Paradise?
No. There is no loading in the game and there is no order in what events you have to do to make progress in the game. So, if you, for example, fail to win a race, the game is designed so that another event is just around the corner for you to try instead of just retry a race over and over again until you make it. The intention is that this will make the game more varied and fun.
Can you customize the cars?
No, the only thing you can change on the cars is the paint.

There is support for the Microsoft Racing Wheel on XBox 360 and the Logitech Wheel on Playstation 3. There are no manual gears.

No, the game is widescreen only.

Yes, you can drive through paint shops to get another paintjob or you can enter the junkyard and specify what your car should have.
