Operation Burnout 6

I'd like to welcome everyone to the new look Operation Burnout! As you can see, the site and the forums have gone through a small makeover. The site software has also been through an upgrade so hopefully the site will now be much more secure and stable

There may be a couple of bugs to iron out so if you come across one, get in touch through our contact form. Also, feel free to let me know what you think of the site in this topic.

Please note: If you're having display issues or seeing old graphics, clear your browsers cache to solve the problem.

I was wondering why the forums had been closed for almost a month, I thought this place had finally bitten the dust. I had just grudgingly signed up at Rogue Burners, but it's such a relief to that this site is indeed alive and well. At least OB lets me browse the forums without being logged in. I do a lot of browsing on my Wii, and that stupid browser can't keep me logged in for more than a few screens without having to sign in again, so OB is much more convenient for me in that respect. Great new look too, good job!

I closed the forums for a few reasons. One of the main ones was I was developing the new site and didn't have time to moderate the forums so I closed them. Also, the new site is completely built on the existing database which needed to undergo some changes so it was impossible to keep the forums open and develop the new site.

I can't believe it's been so long since they opened the first time. The 5 year anniversary is coming next summer. It's always stuck to the ideals it had at the start, a community forum for Burnout lovers to hang out in and learn the latest news.

It's had it's fair share of challenges over the years (like a couple of arguments with Criterion and Alex about releasing info) but it remains a great independent place to come.
