Well 8002A227 is the ban code so be glad your not getting that one.

Never seen one ending with 402 but that 8002A*** always means a network issue but I'm sure you already figured that out lol.

That works when Blowing up cars. But not solving PS3 Connection Issues. Trust me i live by that motto.

I'm not a PS3 user, but that code sounds like PSN is down, a quick Google search reveals...

yeah, I didn't want to give away the answer that easily. But after a few tries myself to sign in, it gave me the message that PSN is currently undergoing maintenance.

10 seconds later I managed to sign in, played Burnout for like 2 seconds, got a phonecall, and had to leave again.

That happened with me also a few months back, I tried signing in constantly but it would just give the same error that you got, I tried it again a few days later and it worked fine, I was guessing that it was probably server maintenance...why doesn't Sony say anything about this so all us PS3 owners are aware of it.

I haven't fired up my PS3 in weeks now so I never had any failure to connect issues. Doubt I'll play this weekend either. The BSI was so anti-climactic that I haven't even played any other games.
