This is the image which Advertising watchdogs say is "irresponsible" and likely to encourage violence and dangerous driving.

The Advertising Standards Authority have banned the ad depicting a crashed car from the London Underground, saying:
EA have said the advert's message was that playing Burnout Dominator may relieve stress and tension in real life.

So there we have it. According to the advertising standards authority, the dangerous driving in Burnout advocates real life violence, real life anti-social behavior and REAL LIFE dangerous driving. Here I am thinking that Burnout was a video game!

As promised, the second downloadable track, Red Gate, is available from Burnout HQ through your PSP. There have been no updates on any of the Burnout Dominator official sites for a zip package of the track, however it is available from the PSP store at the link below. Enjoy!

Just a quick update to show the official Carnival Point screenshots released today.

If you missed the news about the new tracks which are available (or soon will be) for Burnout Dominator for the PSP, read the post below.

Available on 7th June is another new track called Red Gate, so be sure to check back then for details on how to download.

As predicted by a regular Operation Burnout forum member, IceyDragon, the first downloadable content which EA promised Dominator fans comes in the form of a new track, Carnival Point.
EA have rolled out the new downloadable track for the PSP version of Burnout Dominator which is available through the official website.

Details on how to download and install the track are listed below and can also be found on EA's Burnout Dominator site.

First off, sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been very busy with various bits of college work and some other projects. Updates may remain slow for the next couple of weeks too but not to worry as there are always the forums where you can check for other members submitting news they find.

Burnout Dominator shipped to US stores yesterday and the reviews from several site are already in. Check some of them out below.

To play Burnout: Dominator is to jump back in time and reimagine how it might have been had things evolved differently after Burnout 2. The result is something that feels quite discernibly like the B-team effort, the filler product, the "shut up and play this while we get on with the real sequel" game.

Burnout Dominator is best thought of as a "Greatest Hits, but Not All of Them" from the Burnout series. The racing is just as adrenaline pumping as it's ever been, and possibly even more so than what we saw in Burnout Revenge as you need to be afraid of traffic once again. However, the lack of standard features and modes like online play and Crash are a rather big disappointment. It's certainly worth a pick-up, but if you're looking for the true next title in the series, you'll have to wait for Burnout 5.

Don't expect to see Dominator in Europe any time soon as the release date is currently set at March 23rd. I will be updating the site short after the release here in the UK with a Burnout Dominator section which will feature all the usual guides, galleries and a load of other cool treats.

Over at the forums, IceyDragon, has managed to sift through the many new gameplay videos and ingame screenshots of Burnout Dominator which have been released over the last few days and come up with a list of 30 songs which featured in them. Knowing this, it is pretty safe to say that these songs should appear in the final soundtrack for Burnout Dominator (for the PS2 at least)

Judging by Burnout Revenges 40 song soundtrack, there may be more to come but not too many more.

IceyDragon has also managed to piece together some bits of information about the tracks in the game and provide us with some details about them.

Autobahn Loop (Germany) - Self explanatory really, massive long autobahns to drive down, plenty of oncoming...and traffic

Black Gold Highway (U.S.A I believe) - Don't know much about this track, all I do know is it looks more focused on big highways than say a gold mining town or something. Who knows.

Ocean Drive (U.S.A) - Another self explanatory track, lots of ocean scenery, similar to Big Surf Shores on Burnout 2, but maybe with some elements of Silver Lake from Burnout 3 also.

Spiritual Gate (Malaysia) - Very modern city, but still has this Far East feel about it in the way it is built, quite a few palm trees also

Tuscan View (Italy) - Very similar to Eternal City from Burnout Revenge. Lots of houses in that style, and small narrow streets to drive through.
